The moment we stepped foot on High Point University's magnificent campus, we were told that we were extraordinary. We were chosen to go to this school because we stand out. We are not a plethora of hershey kisses in a plastic bag; we are Godiva's, hand-crafted and made so that we can take on our own identity. The students were told that they deserve the best so they will receive the best. High Point University does everything for a reason. Dr. Nido Qubein chooses to play classical music on the promenade and chooses to display flowers and fountains all around campus. Nothing is frivolous. It all has an underlying meaning. Although it was said, the meaning was never truly explained.
My plan is to depict the different ways that his campus inspires us. I want to take pictures of the "Dream Big" chairs and the fountains etc, explaining how I think it is important and beneficial to the Extraordinary Life that Nido and the HPU faculty are trying to give to us. We walk past these everyday and don't really think much of it. They are more than just a place to hang out at or a pretty sight. There's a reason behind it all and my plan is to figure it out.
